Refund & Return Policy

Your satisfaction matters to us at MX Locker

Updated September 13, 2024

These terms are only applicable to product purchases. Sales for dirt bikes on MX Locker are handled outside the platform, and do not fall under our protection policies. You are protected every time you make a purchase directly through MX Locker. MX Locker does not cover any transactions completed off our platform.

We will give you a full refund if your item never ships or does not match the listing description. Otherwise, all sales are final. The order becomes nonrefundable as soon as you have approved the sale or 48 hours after the item has arrived at your address, whichever comes first. Marking an item as received will automatically release funds to the seller. The policies and systems we have in place to protect you are called MX Locker Protect.

Refund Policy

When you make a purchase on MX Locker, we don’t release payment to the seller until you tell us you’ve received your order as described. You have 48 hours after delivery to inform us if the item has been misrepresented by reporting the problem on the MX Locker app or website.

If any of the following pertain to your order, please report the problem on the MX Locker app or website immediately:

  • Undisclosed damage
  • Incorrect or missing item (Please note: items in your order may be coming from different sellers, in different packages).
  • Item not as described
  • Item is not authentic

If no claim is made within 48 hours of delivery, payment will be automatically released to the seller. Once payment has been released, all sales are final and no refunds will be provided. If the item is as advertised and the Buyer has determined that it’s simply not for them, then the Seller is not obligated to accept a return, but has the option to do so. If the item is returned, the Buyer will be refunded the cost of the item, but they will not be refunded for the cost of shipping. The cost of return shipping will also be withheld from the refund amount. For these reasons, MX Locker recommends that the Buyer reslists the item for sale!

If a buyer requests a sale to be voided due to "buyer's remorse", the seller is not obligated to accept a return. Any refund in "buyer's remorse" situations should be less 3% processing fees. MX Locker sale fees are not refundable in such situations.

What is not covered?

Item does not fit/changed mind

If the item does not fit you, we unfortunately cannot accept a return. You can always re-list the item on MX Locker! As a buyer on MX Locker, you are responsible for reading the listing description and title before making a purchase.

Offers

Buyers: You are responsible for reading the full item description before making an offer or purchase. When you make an offer and your offer is accepted by the Seller or MX Locker in the case of 1st Party Sales, you have a contract with the Seller or MX Locker, respectively.
Sellers: Once an offer is accepted by Seller, or MX Locker the sale transaction is binding on both Seller and Buyer, and no returns, refunds, cancellations or retractions are allowed.

Trades and Offline Transactions

MX Locker does not cover trades or transactions completed off the MX Locker platform. When payment for the full value of items is not exchanged through the MX Locker platform, we cannot guarantee that both parties will ship and transact as promised. You bear all risks associated with such transactions. Taking any part of a transaction for riding gear and bike parts, including discussion about details or negotiations off MX Locker is a violation of community guidelines.

Conversions on disputes and refunds

If a currency-converted payment is disputed or refunded, the amount you received is converted back to the presentment currency at the current exchange rate. Exchange rates fluctuate with the market, so the rate used during the payment often differs from the rate used when a dispute or refund occurs. The amount deducted from your merchant balance depends on the current rate and this amount might be more or less than the original payment. The customer is always refunded the exact amount they paid and in the currency they paid in, regardless of any rate fluctuations. For example, if your settlement currency is EUR and you process a 60 USD payment at a rate of 0.88 EUR per 1 USD, the converted amount is 52.80 EUR. If the rate is 0.86 EUR per 1 USD at the time of refund, the amount deducted from your account balance is only 51.60 EUR. You can learn more about this process through our payment processor, Stripe.
